HexGrab is built to stay on your Mac. Here’s what we handle, what never leaves your device, and when something is optional.

On your Mac only

Preferences and history stay local. We can’t see them.

Recent colors and preferences

Stored on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to arheh for analytics or sync.

Clipboard when you copy

Hex goes to the system clipboard only. It is not sent to arheh.

Color sampling, not recording

Sampling uses macOS tools on-device.

System color sampler

HexGrab uses macOS’s system sampler. No screenshots are uploaded to us.

What we don’t collect and what might leave

No accounts, ads, or tracking. A few cases are outside our control or optional.

Feedback is optional

Only if you use Send Feedback and only what you choose to write.

App Store

Apple may process purchase and download data under Apple’s policies.

Your control

You’re in charge of data on your Mac.

Clear, change, or uninstall

Clear colors, change settings, or uninstall anytime.
